Synopsis: The gods of Olympus are alive in the XXI century! They still fall in love with mortals and have children who might become great heroes, but who end up, for the most part, finding terrible fates in the grip of heartless monsters. Only a few find their identity and make it to Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp on Long Island dedicated to training young demigods. This is the revelation that leads Percy Jackson an incredible quest to help his real father - the god of the seas! - To avoid a war on Olympus. With the help of the satyr Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, Percy is tasked to cross the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the most powerful weapon of destruction ever conceived: Zeus's master lightning. On the way, they face a host of mythological enemies determined to stop them. Amid the perils of this journey, Percy must confront a father he does not know and beware of a cruel betrayal.
WE.
FERNANDA: Involves Greek culture and a new fictional world created by Rick Riordan, a brilliant writer. I admit that at first reading was a bit boring (I even thought about quitting to read) but as I'm a persistent person and just kept reading... I was surprised. Perfect, no more. I am a demigod. *-* (8,o)
JOSÉ GUILHERME: I'm currently reading (Ch. 11), and so far seems to be exciting. (N/O)
LUANE: I'm reading again. And I find it interesting how Rick Riordan mixes mythology with reality. (8,0)
FINAL NOTE: 8,0
